Stepping into 40 with a full heart (and a full story)

Turning 40 on the same week I hit the 20-year anniversary of losing my mom has stirred up more reflection than I expected. This past year shook me, stretched me, and reminded me how fragile and beautiful life can be (and that we absolutely are not the ones in control).
